As the world marveled at the feats of human achievement in Paris over the past couple of weeks, it’s hard not to acknowledge the grandeur and historical significance of these Games. The Olympics have been a source of inspiration and a testament to the human spirit for over a century. However, as we look forward, it has become clear that the Second Olympiad is in its twilight. The Enhanced Games represent the future of sports and are going to revolutionize the landscape of athletic competition.

The Crumbling Foundations of the Olympics

The Paris Olympics, while undeniably spectacular, have been a stark reminder of the unsustainable nature of the current model. The costs are astronomical, with Paris 2024 estimated to cost at least $8.9 billion, following the trend of exorbitant expenses seen in Tokyo 2020 ($15.4 billion) and Rio 2016 ($13.1 billion). These figures are not justifiable in a world facing pressing economic challenges. Indeed, the list of cities willing or able to stump up these numbers is in sharp decline.

Moreover, scandals related to performance enhancements continue to erode the reputation of the Olympics. This year’s Olympics began with unbelievable leniency towards athletes from certain countries, raising questions about fairness and integrity. The inclusion of Chinese swimmers with questionable histories in Tokyo highlights this – and reinforces the failure of the ‘anti-doping’ bureaucracy. Many who watched events in Paris found themselves asking which athletes are enhanced - and did their fellow competitors know? Celebrated swimmer Michael Phelps was particularly vociferous on the topic this year - and gave us a shoutout each time he talked about the issue (albeit not a friendly one!)

The opening ceremony in Paris was a dismal representation of both the host city and the Olympics' core mission – absent of any notions of celebrating sport and human performance. Over $150 million was reported to have been spent on a spectacle that felt disconnected from the athletes' achievements, failed to bring to life the richness and wonders of France, but did succeed in offending millions.

And while $1.5 billion was somehow spent attempting to clean up the Seine for the Paris Olympics, an admirable goal in itself, the river remained too polluted for athletes to swim in safely. This failure underscores the challenges the Olympics face in adapting to modern standards.

The Games are now over, and the world will bask in the warm glow of success. Sure, the spin machine did create plenty of warm-hug moments, and there thankfully weren’t any major catastrophes. However, we shouldn’t expect the establishment media and stakeholder groups to present the whole picture. Just look at the restrictive conditions for Salt Lake City’s 2036 Winter Olympics bid, which underline the increasing control and censorship by the Olympic establishment.

A New Dawn: The Enhanced Games

While we celebrate the athletes in Paris and cheer on their success, it's time to look forward to a new era of sports. The Enhanced Games are not just a challenger to the Olympics but a visionary approach to sports as a whole. We will develop scientific insights, medical discoveries, safety protocols, and record-breaking sports events to unite humanity and inspire innovation.

The Enhanced Games will be the world’s most captivating competition that entertains, educates, and inspires through science-driven feats of humanity. We will expand the limits of human capabilities, while ensuring safety, financial equity, and sporting fairness. We believe in embracing advancements in science and technology to enhance athletic abilities, ensuring a level playing field where all athletes will finally be permitted to be enhanced (or not – ‘natural’ athletes are welcome, too).

Preparing For Excellence

One outcome of Paris was a jump in awareness of Enhanced and our vision. I know the world has many questions about what’s on the horizon, so wanted to give you a quick update on a few key areas…

  1. When are the Enhanced Games happening - and what sports and events will they include? We’re on track for the end of 2025. This may seem like a long way off, but we’ve got a lot of work to get done before then. We’re still looking at five main categories: athletics (track & field), aquatics, gymnastics, combat, and strength. We expect to prioritize the highest profile, most-viewed events such as the 100-meter sprint and the 50-meter freestyle. We’re also keen to hear what you’d like to see - so please let us know on your social channels.

  1. What performance enhancements are going to be allowed? It’s important to highlight that despite some of the crazier headlines out there, this isn’t going to be a “free-for-all”. The Enhanced Games do not promote the indiscriminate use of restricted or prohibited substances. Instead, we advocate for the safe, responsible and clinically supervised use of performance enhancements. Our incoming medical safety protocol, currently in development by a world-class Medical Commission, is mapping this out in precise detail.

  1. Which athletes are signed up? I’m sure you’ve already seen Australian Olympic swimmer James Magnussen - our first confirmed athlete. He’s going to be joined by a cohort of athletes with world record-breaking potential. And yes, our athlete recruitment team was on the ground in Paris. More on that in due course.

I know there are many more questions to be answered, and Enhanced’s growing team of world-class professionals is working at pace to ensure we have answers. We are currently getting ready for a major announcement that will present dates, format, host city, athletes, medical safety protocol and more. This will most likely happen at the end of this year or early next. You’ll all be invited to take part so watch this space to find out more.
